Looking for a brag-worthy adventure? Then a floatplane drop to remote alpine lake followed by a biking epic is the kind of experience you’re looking for.

Tyax Adventues will greet you at Tyaughton Lake at the doorstep of the South Chilcotin Mountains, a true mountain bikers’ paradise. Guests and bikes are loaded up on a De Havilland Beaver floatplane and dropped on one of the many backcountry lakes. Guests can explore over 200 km (124 mi) of singletrack trails, over alpine passes, and through sprawling meadows. Spend a full-day, or multiple days, exploring this vast backcountry terrain before navigating your way back to civilization or to one of the many backcountry cabins that dot the trail network.

Tyaughton Lake on

Tyax Adventures is a wilderness experience in the heart of BC’s backcountry. Guests have the option to book single-day or multi-day adventures made even more unique by a stay in one of our 5 historic and fully serviced backcountry cabins and camps.

Fly and bike packages range from single day rides to multi-day adventures, accessed via floatplane from Tyaughton Lake to the South Chilcotin backcountry. Mountain bikers can opt for fully-guided tours or self-guided options, ranging in duration, price, and difficulty.

Biking adventures at Tyax are available from the end of May through October.
