Recreation Sites and Trails, in cooperation with the WLSC would like to inform all riders of the Fox Mountain Trail Network to expect detours in areas along the Fortis Energy Gas Line. Effective June 29th, crews will be onsite preparing the gas line right of way for the installation of new pipeline, therefore all riders are requested to utilize the detours marked in the field and to respect any and all trail closures in the area.

Trails detoured include; Snap, Bearacouga, Jimmy’s Fox, Wait your Turn and Any Cog. Detour routes are via multi use trails, so please be aware of motorized use as well.

These closures and detours are to protect both the riding public and crews working along the right of way, yet still provide access to the trail network. With works expected to take several months, riders can expect further updates.
